Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis affects as many as 3 million people in the UK, with one third of adult women likely to suffer from an osteoporotic fracture in their lifetime.
Why is prevention important?
Osteoporosis is known as the silent disease because people are often unaware they have the condition until they break or fracture a bone, at which stage the disease can be significantly advanced. This means that it is extremely important that you detect osteoporosis as early as possible.
