Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)
An enlargement of the prostate gland (also known as BPH)
- Can cause a need to pass water more
- Can start in your mid forties
- Affects more than 50% of men in their 60s
The enlarged prostate gland presses on the bladder, increasing the urge to urinate, causing daily inconvenience and also disturbed sleep at night. Oral medications are available but new treatments are being developed to help treat this common condition.
