Simple screening process

If you're interested in taking part in a study, a series of questions will be asked over the phone to determine your suitability. We don't want to waste people's time if they may not be suitable.

Professional equipment, modern care

If the phone call is successful you'll be invited to a Synexus clinic for a comprehensive free health check. There you'll have a face-to-face chat with one of our doctors or nurses and the opportunity to find out more about the details of the process and the study. This initial visit also lets you see the impressive level of professional care, modern equipment and comfortable surroundings within our centres.

Plenty of time to think things over

At this point you're free to go home and think everything over. Should you decide to participate, the next stage is to meet with one of our Doctors or nurses and have another health check that may include blood, urine and ECG depending on the study.

Once on the study, you're free to leave at any time without the affecting the standard of care you receive.

Questions answered at every stage

The length of clinical studies varies widely. Many studies require just a few visits over a month or two and other studies are conducted on an ongoing basis for anything up to six years. All this will be covered for you in an initial meeting with one of our friendly doctors or nurses who are always happy to answer any questions you might have.

Keeping you informed throughout the process

Along with your GP you'll be kept fully informed at all stages of your involvement.

Your GP is always Involved

We submit any notable test results to your GP. This helps maximise the benefits to you and improves the chances of relieving the symptoms of your condition. At the outset, your GP will be sent a medical questionnaire to help ensure your suitability. By keeping your GP involved throughout the process we make sure you have a point of contact you already know and trust.
